It lies 2.5 miles west-south-west of Mere (from Mere: bearing 247°T, OS grid ST 775 307), and is situated south-south-west of Zeals village. A short walk toward the horizon reveals Factory Pond, where the water remains still enough to mirror the grey, shifting clouds of the West Country.
