It lies 2.8 miles west-south-west of Verwood (from Verwood: bearing 241°T, OS grid SU 046 069), and is situated east-south-east of Horton village. To the north-west, the open expanse of Haythorne Common offers a stark contrast to the enclosed, intimate lanes that define the character of Wigbeth.
