Beneath the canopy of ancient oaks, the landscape retains the quiet scars of the Crowborough Warren Furnace, a site where medieval fire once transformed local ore into liquid metal. The air here carries a sharp, clean chill, sharpened by the elevation that separates Crowborough Warren from the lower, mist-clogged valleys. To the west, the land rises toward the shoulder of Bunker’s Hill, offering a vantage point where the horizon dissolves into a haze of muted greens and greys.
