How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Cellier-du-Luc

Cellier-du-Luc rests within the rugged folds of the Tanargue, where the scent of box and thyme rises after the rain. Here, the river le Rieutord carves through the quiet landscape near the woodland of Bois de Levert. The nearby l'Allier flows through a terrain of mistral-scoured ridges and ancient sheep tracks. Visitors may explore the evocative Château de Luc, rising as a sentinel over the valley, or find profound silence at the Abbaye Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. Further into this wild, historic region, the Ancien château abbatial stands as a testament to a landscape defined by its resilient stone and shifting light.
