How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Glénat

Glénat rests within the verdant embrace of the Bassin de la Dordogne, a landscape shaped by the lingering memory of ancient volcanoes. The Ruisseau de Bournabel flows quietly through this terrain, where the dark, imposing presence of the Bois Noir dominates the horizon. Nearby, the expansive waters of the Lac du Barrage de Saint-Étienne-Cantalès mirror the shifting sky. Visitors may wander through the enchanting paths of Il Était une Fois... un Jardin Conté, pause at the historic Moulin du Cassan, or admire the stoic stone walls of the Château de la Grillière, which anchors the commune in its rugged, timeless atmosphere.
