How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Desingy

Desingy rests within the rolling contours of the Haute-Savoie, a quiet commune cradled by the Montagne des Princes. The Ruisseau de Croasse traces a modest path through the fields, while the nearby Bois des Bolioz offers a canopy of spruce and larch that suggests the thin, bright air of the high country. Beyond the village, the landscape opens toward the distant shadow of le Mont. Explorers may wander to the ruins of the Ancien Pont, find the dramatic cleft of the Gorges du Val de Fier, or stand before the cascading waters of Le Pain de Sucre, where the mountain spirit lingers in the cool spray.
