Chaux-Neuve rests within the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Jura, a landscape defined by the heights of Mont Risoux and the dense, dark fir forest of le Grand Gît. Nearby, the waters of le Cébriot flow toward the larger valley of le Doubs. The air here holds the crystalline bite of hard, bright winters and deep snow. Chaux-Neuve s'inscrit dans le Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Jura, au cœur d'un paysage façonné par les hauteurs du Mont Risoux et l'ombre dense des forêts de sapins du Grand Gît. Non loin, les eaux du Cébriot cheminent vers le lit du Doubs. L'air y porte la morsure des hivers vigoureux et des neiges profondes. Les visiteurs peuvent observer la faune sauvage au Parc Polaire, découvrir le tumulte de la Cascade du Bief de la Ruine ou parcourir les Gorges de Malvaux.
