How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-Sulpice

Saint-Sulpice sits quietly within the rolling expanse of les Mondrevaux, a landscape defined by the rhythmic steps of limestone plateaux and the gentle presence of le Rognon. Nearby, the dense canopy of the Bois du Fougeray offers a stillness typical of this inland region, where the air turns crisp in the deep winters. A short journey brings one to the imposing Château de Villersexel, a landmark of enduring stone, or the ancient Dolmen d'Aillevans. Further afield, the Prieuré Sainte-Marie-Madeleine de Marast stands as a testament to local heritage, anchoring this corner of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in calm, historic reflection.
