How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Busson

Busson rests within the quiet folds of the Haute-Marne, a landscape defined by the chalky earth of the Grand Est and the persistent presence of les Hérandes woodlands nearby. The gentle waters of la Joux flow not far from the village, while the horizon is marked by the distant heights of le Plémont and the curious limestone formation of le Cul du Cerf. In the wider countryside, visitors may discover the imposing Château de Reynel or explore the ancient remnants of the Château de Lafauche. Further afield, the expansive remains of the Amphithéâtre de Grand offer a poignant encounter with the deep history of this limestone plateau.
