How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Domjevin

Domjevin rests upon the quiet plateau of Meurthe-et-Moselle, where the forest meets the fields in a landscape of red ochre stone and hidden iron seams. The nearby waters of la Vezouze flow through the valley, while the rise of Montant Roye marks the horizon. Close by, the imposing Fort de Manonviller stands as a silent witness to history, its stone walls weathered by time. Visitors may wander toward the Bois de l'Étang or seek the solemnity of the Borne Vauthier. Further afield, the crumbling ruins of the Château de Blâmont emerge from the trees, offering a glimpse into the ancient, rugged heart of the region.
