How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Bosc-Bordel

Bosc-Bordel lies nestled within the quiet bocage, a landscape defined by thick hedges and the soft, grey light that once drew painters to this corner of Normandie. Surrounded by the gentle embrace of the Bois d'Hez, the commune reflects a pastoral heritage of cattle in wet pastures and hidden orchards. Beyond the immediate fields, the wider countryside reveals the storied stone of the Château de Martainville, the evocative ruins of the Château de Bainville-Crevon, and the quiet dignity of the Collégiale Saint-Michel. Here, the weight of history is carried softly amidst the flint architecture and the rolling, verdant horizons of Seine-Maritime.
