OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Bosc-Édeline rests within the quiet rhythm of the Normandie countryside, where the bocage of small fields and thick hedges defines the horizon. Here, the soft grey light that painters once chased settles over flint churches and damp, verdant pastures. Nearby, the Bois Bourdon offers a shaded retreat, while further out, the Château de Martainville stands as a silent sentinel of local heritage. History feels present in the landscape, carried quietly through the lanes. Visitors might also explore the ruins of the Château de Bainville-Crevon, where the weight of time is etched into the stone, reflecting a region defined by its orchards and ancient, sturdy soil.
