How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-André

Saint-André rests within the gentle undulations of the Petites Pyrénées, where wheat fields shimmer under the dry heat of a midday sun. The Ruisseau de la Paure traces a quiet path through this landscape, framed by the nearby Forêt de Fabas and the distant silhouette of Cap de la Lanes. Visitors may wander toward the ancient Grottes de Rodes, discover the remnants of the Thermes gallo-romains, or admire the architecture of Château Labatut. In these hills, where the cicadas sing, the horizon is defined by the soft, rolling terrain of the Occitanie region.
