The landscape is defined by the rugged silhouette of la Cham de Blanquet and the nearby Forêt Domaniale de Mende. Nearby, one can explore the ancient mystery of the Dolmen de Bramonas or wander the grounds of the Ferme Fortifiée du Choizal, monuments to a quiet, enduring history. Beneath the ridges, the Valat de Grueyze traces its path through the earth, while the Grotte Guichard offers a cool, subterranean sanctuary within the silent, stone-wrought countryside.
Esclanèdes s'ancre sur les plateaux de calcaire nu du Causse du Villard, là où le parfum du buis et du thym s'exhale après l'ondée. Le paysage est marqué par la silhouette austère de la Cham de Blanquet et les frondaisons de la Forêt Domaniale de Mende.
