How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Moulayrès

Moulayrès rests within the gentle undulations of the Tarn, where rolling hills draped in wheat and golden sunflowers define the horizon. The Ruisseau de la Maurié carves a quiet path through the landscape, bordered by the lush embrace of the Bois de la Capelle. Nearby, the architecture of the past lingers in the weathered stone of the Château de Brametourte, while the rugged silhouette of the Puech de la Lie watches over the valley. Further out, the Collégiale Saint-Rémy stands as a testament to the quiet, enduring spirit of the Occitan countryside under the dry, cicada-filled heat of noon.
