Highways emerges from the Hampshire chalk as a quiet collection of dwellings defined by the patient, vertical growth of the surrounding landscape. It lies 5.4 miles north-west of New Alresford (from New Alresford: bearing 319°T, OS grid SU 529 392), and is situated east of Micheldever village.
