Limerstone emerges from the rolling chalk landscape of the Isle of Wight as a quiet collection of dwellings defined by the ancient rhythm of the soil. It lies 5.4 miles south-west of Newport (from Newport: bearing 221°T, OS grid SZ 443 825), and is situated west-south-west of Shorwell village. To the east, the water of the Shorwell Stream carves a cooling path through the verdant valley, providing a constant, low-frequency pulse to the surrounding fields.
