Buyzzi is a small frazione within the comune of Gioiosa Ionica, perched upon the slopes of the Cresta del Gallo. The land is defined by the sharp, dry rhythm of the Fiumara Spilinga and the nearby heights of the Serra della Badessa, which catch the morning light before it reaches the valley floor. In the wider countryside, the landscape opens toward the Vallata del Torbido. Nearby, one finds the ruins of the Teatro greco, the solemn Santuario Maria Santissima di Crochi, and the more distant Castello San Fili, marking the horizon where the air remains thin and still.

Il paesaggio è segnato dal corso austero della Fiumara Spilinga e dalle vicine alture della Serra della Badessa, che catturano la luce mattutina prima di riverberarsi sulla Vallata del Torbido. Nei dintorni si scorgono i resti del Teatro greco, il silenzioso Santuario Maria Santissima di Crochi e, più lontano, il Castello San Fili. È un luogo dove la terra conserva una propria consistenza ruvida, osservando il cammino delle stagioni tra i rilievi che dominano l'entroterra calabrese.
