Sanico is a quiet hamlet belonging to the comune of Bellano, situated within the Val Muggiasca. The air here holds the crisp, thin quality of the mountains, far from the humid shimmer of the Ramo di Gera. Above the village, the slopes of Monte Croce di Muggio rise sharply, while the deep cut of the Orrido di Bellano waits nearby, where the water carves through the rock with steady persistence.
