Monterivoso is a village set within the hills of the comune of Ferentillo, where the Fosso dell'Orneta flows through the local terrain. The air here carries the cool dampness of the Parco Fluviale del Nera, which encompasses the settlement. Close by, the slopes of Monte Sant'Angelo rise sharply, while the nearby Fonte Carpio offers a quiet point of reference. Visitors often find the Museo delle mummie an arresting presence, alongside the weathered remains of the Castello di Umbriano.
