It lies 4.4 miles south-south-west of Bishop's Castle (from Bishop's Castle: bearing 208°T, OS grid SO 289 826), and is situated north-west of Clun village. The River Unk carves a thin, silver vein through the pastureland just to the south, its waters catching the pale, slanted light of an afternoon sun.
