It lies 1.7 miles south-east of Church Stretton (from Church Stretton: bearing 136°T, OS grid SO 471 917), and is situated south-south-west of Hope Bowdler village. The sun often lingers here, casting long, bruised shadows across the fields that slope gently toward the Chelmick Valley. To the east, the geological significance of the Soudley Quarry Sssi offers a stark, jagged contrast to the softer, pastoral rhythms of the surrounding meadows. This slice of land remains defined by its agricultural roots, where the earth holds the chill of the morning long after the mist has retreated. Ragleth Hill looms to the west, a dark, hulking presence that seems to watch over the scattered farmsteads with an ancient, stony indifference.
