It lies 2.7 miles west of Wickham Market (from Wickham Market: bearing 280°T, OS grid TM 258 562), and is situated north-north-west of Dallinghoo village. The horizon here is low and expansive, often dominated by a pale, thin light that catches the edges of the ancient hedgerows. A short walk from the centre, the Charsfield Village Sign stands as a modest sentinel, marking the point where the local roads begin to lose their urgency.
