It lies 6.0 miles east of Mere (from Mere: bearing 87°T, OS grid ST 910 328), and is situated west of Fonthill Bishop village. To the south, the dense, verdant canopy of Terrace Wood provides a quiet contrast to the open fields that stretch toward the horizon.
