To the west, the sharp, dark profile of Chase End Hill rises abruptly against the horizon, providing a rugged anchor to the soft, rolling expanse of the countryside. A short distance to the east, the fragile, diverse flora of the Rye Street Meadows SSSI thrives in the unhurried dampness of the low ground. Camer's Green maintains a modest geometry, its lanes following the ancient, irregular boundaries of medieval enclosures that predate modern mapping.
