Hindlip is a small village situated in the Wychavon district of Worcestershire, England, located just a few miles north-east of the city of Worcester. It is most notably home to Hindlip Hall, an historic Elizabethan manor house famed for its numerous priest holes and its significant association with Catholic recusancy and the Gunpowder Plot. Today, Hindlip Hall serves as the headquarters for West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, giving the village a prominent administrative function within the region. The surrounding area maintains a largely rural character, typical of much of the Wychavon district, while benefiting from its close proximity to the larger urban centre of Worcester.
