To the north-west, the heavy ramparts of Scraesdon Fort emerge from the gorse, a silent, earthen weight guarding the quietude of the surrounding pasture. West Antony maintains a stoic distance from the main roads, favouring the solitude of the coastal plateau over the bustle of the nearby harbour. A short distance away, the dark, sheltered waters of Warren Point offer a refuge for migratory birds that wheel and cry against the grey, expansive sky.
