How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Pianello

Pianello sits as a quiet stone witness within the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse, defined by the rugged character of the Pianiccia de Belle Magiocche. The landscape is a composition of granite and maquis, where the Rivière de Bravona carves its path through the terrain near the woodland of Piana. High bare ridges and the distant Pointe de Tuberca define the horizon, while the Col de Catarelli offers a passage through this mountainous world. A visitor may venture further to explore the Citadelle de Corte, gaze at the historic Pont génois sur le Tavignano, or find the Phare d'Alistro standing guard where the mountains meet the sea.
