Costa San Gallo occupies a quiet slope within the Valle Brembana, high above the Fiume Brembo. The land here feels carved by the cold air flowing from the Valle del Piazzo, where the grey stone of local buildings catches a pale, sharp light. Nearby, the Fonte del Corno offers water that tastes of the mountain rock. A short distance away, one finds the historic Cornello dei Tasso, a place of silent stone corridors, and the rising slopes of Monte Cancervo. The frazione remains a small, grounded part of the larger comune of San Giovanni Bianco, surrounded by the shadows of the Costa del Sole.
